Congratulations on your pregnancy! Pregnancy and birth are amazing and transformational processes for every woman (whether this is your first pregnancy or your twelfth!) I feel very privileged and honored to take part in such an incredible time in a woman's life as her doula. I believe that every woman deserves to birth with confidence, respect, and support.
Relationships and connections are extremely important to me, and a strong connection is something I believe you need with your doula. Birth is such a beautiful and sacred event - and I believe that the people who surround you during birth need to be people who believe in you, know your strengths, hopes, and fears, and who you trust to support you unconditionally. I put a strong emphasis on developing a solid relationship with my clients - and the connection piece is extremely important to me. Like most doulas, I offer a free "meet & greet" at a location where we are both comfortable so we can talk and find out if we are a good fit. I really encourage you to interview several doulas in town - there are so many talented doulas - and it's important to find a good fit for you.
